The Posse Court travelled this past Sunday to Salem and the Oregon State Fair with Queen Mother Kathy Quintal and Court Advisor Chris Wallace. The Court arrived in Salem early enough Sunday afternoon to make a side trip to the Coast and Lincoln City for play time on the beach. Then it was to Mo's for clam chowder, shrimp and fish,. Mo's makes a great Marionberry cobbler, which Advisor Chris ordered BUT only got one bite of, as spoons came out from everywhere at the table. Before leaving Lincoln City, a stop was made at Cold Stone icecream for some more dessert .
Monday morning found the Court up early and getting ready to represent Umatilla County and the City of Milton Freewater at the State Fair. The Court handed out pictures of themselves by the City sign, and Muddy Frogwater pencils at the booth. Advisor Chris helped hand out free apple samples from the City of Milton Freewater. The Court enjoyed visiting with all the kids and talking about rodeo and horses. The Court also walked around the fairgrounds and were stopped many times to have their pictures taken with fair goers. Saturday night found the group trying Italian food for dinner. And for exercise after dinner, a pillow fight
Tuesday the Court was headed for home with a stop in Portland to look at Lewis and Clark College and Law School and lunch at Alexis, the Greek restaurant, owned by friends of Advisor Chris. The Court experienced saganaki, slouvaki, tzatziki, and lamb skewers, Heading down the Gorge, the group made a stop at Multnomah Falls on their way home.
The Court was invited to the State Fair by Umatilla County through the Tourism Development (see more pictures of the trip in the photo gallery )
